ninjin, gushing scalp and easter

ok, for the rest of the week, it was just a lot of fun randomness which is usual for us.

ie: polly wearing her super hero mask and nijin everyone.
ninjin: ninja-ing/ attacking one with ninja moves.

even ninjas pick their nose.

she is a puzzle-aholic.
so of course when i spotted this gem while wandering around barnes & noble the other day, i had to snatch it up.
we did it about 53 times this day.

ted spectated.

another day we decided to spend the afternoon at the dino museum!
it was good fun.

he was scared.
she forced him.

"thats not where this goes??"

"ill give this one a try..."

nope.

and when it was her turn to be afraid...

brother showed her it was ok.

trying to control for a fraction of a second.

she was afraid of the starry hall.

then got over it.
and loved it.

i: you can each choose one small toy.
and these are what they ended up with.
spoiled children i have.
(:

snake attack

soaking, soaking, soaking.
oh how i love you.

i for a bit, forgot how much i love doing all of this crap!
it feels SO wonderful to be mostly self sustained, make almost everything your family uses, and be deliciously healthy while feeling FAB!!!
kefir and buttermilk.

soaked waffles.
they obviously arent raw but come on. i cant completely cut out anything delush.
i decided to not put in the baking powder this time since its nasty stuff and just see how they came out.
they didnt get all puffy but were still yumm!!!
plus mango.
lovely way to start a day.

polly said she wanted noodles for dinner.
raw red sauce.

cooked up some GF quinoa noodles, added some spinach w s&p, topped with un cooked sauce.
again, so good.
this is one of those times i feel lucky to have gotten an education in the culinary arts.
if there is one thing that i am good at, its making anything taste delush!

raw lemon, berry, almond, cashew, coconut pie.
it doesnt have a name yet.
teddy called it "i-ceem!"
since i keep it frozen in the frizzer.
oh and cinnamon.

sat we went to grama nielsens for an easter egg hunt.
polly cracked her head.
it really doesnt look that terrible. this was after she calmed down and the bleeding was done.
i wish i would have taken a pic of it after we got her home.
upon witnessing to horrid-ness, i was definitely not thinking "quick grab the camera!!"

walked behind these dearly little swings while a boy i dont know who was swinging.
learned her danged lesson, she did!

oh and since i was busy mothering my demolished child, kam took some of these!

only some of the great-gands

i didnt think i could love my nieces and nephews any more.
then cole proved me wrong.
when polly was bashed, he quickly came to the rescue. grabbed her, gushing head and all, brought her to find me great mothering, i know, i was no where in sight, and stayed by her side the entire time. he was so sweet and so concerned for her. even while the others were outside, running around and having all sorts of fun, he just sat next to us inside.
a true gem?
you can bet your bottom dollar.

ha. can you tell i was way stressed at this point and ready to go home?!?!

everyone was awesome!!! all of klints dear aunts and mother and grandma nielsen and cousins were all so amazing. they all jumped straight up and helped in anyway they could.
i am particularly thankful for tara. she most times has a few of her oils with her. i never bring mine with me but have now learned MY lesson, when leaving her house to come over, she almost didnt grab a some. something told her to. she did. i couldnt have been more grateful, while carrying my bloody headed child in the house, to see her pull up and jump out of the car with her oils in hand.
all said it looked fine and would heal up nicely with out a traumatic trip to the ER for stitches. i agreed. it stopped bleeding very quickly i was very surprised how quickly,  and didnt look terrible.
then after getting her home and really cleaning it up good, we could see how VERY deep and widely gaping open it really was. fat started oozing out and all. gag.
so, off to the insta-care we went.
that poor nurse, having to deal with me....
hahahah. she was wonderful, and i also, was grateful for her sweetness and understanding.
polly did AMAZING!!!! seriously, i was so impressed with her. she didnt whine, cry or complain even once the entire time we were there.
oh and no shots!!!! just a numbing cream that did the trick!
a nice scrub down, rinse out, pulling out and tucking back in of the fat and 3 staples later... we were on our way to target to pick out ANY TOY SHE WANTED!!! yeah thats right, i rock. im a rad mom. i make up for my negligence buy purchasing more toys.
of course, she was very intelligent with her choice; a huge box of possibly every single my little pony in all of existence.

the next day was EASTER!!!!
mr bunny came and hid some filled eggs around the home and their baskets.

dont mind my disgusting vacuum in the way...

a hersheys choc bunny, cause every kids needs one in their basket. duh.
a tink/ toy story bubbles.
a pink/ green squirt gun.
a princess aurora/ zoo themed leggo duplo.

transformer style. all done up.
oh, the portion of missing hair... we cut it in hopes that a butterfly would stick and be able to keep it together.
failure.

k: there is no manly way of blowing bubbles.....

its always like...

i dont know how many times i can say it, i really LOVE how she dresses herself.

for easter dinner we decided to go all out.
and go get pizza!
not just any pizza.
i can very honestly AND literally say, that it was the VERY BEST that i have ever had the pleasure of gracing my taste buds.
never once in my life have i not wanted to eat my crust. crust is my fave.
this time, i set the normally beloved crust aside, as to save the extra room for more pizza part.
?!?!?!?!?

i like when im caught in pics making lovely faces.

olive oil, mozz, parm. red onions, lemon slices, basil.
OH EMMM GEEEEE!

sauce, mozz, parm, prosciutto, blackberries, basil.
again.
OH EEM GEEEEE!!!

choc gelato.

brownie topped with lemony creamy crud and choc ganache... possibly?

a pizza named viola.
of course we HAD to try.

then we went to the park to play and took a nice walk.
when there is beauty greenery... or whitery i guess you could say. i cant help but to picture them!
nature is just so cool!

to finish off the eve, we showered the park dirty kids,
pushed both couches together to create "the pit what we called it as children"
ate some of our easter treats and snuggled to a new movie.
glory.

  1. Poor pretty little Polly!! :(
I always say this, but you simply must teach me more about your natural and raw cooking! I, too, would like to be healthy!!
Glad your Easter turned out to be awesome...despite the bonk on the noodle, that is.
