the car ride and cute things polly says

the other day, i went into pollys room only to find that she had colored ALL over a couple of her toys. when i asked why the heck she did that, she replied "because those parts were white and boring. i was trying to just make them colorful and beautiful." i looked around, only to find that she had in fact only colored on the white parts. first i was upset. really upset. cause she definitely knows better. she is 4 and has never done anything like that before. after her explanation i was proud.

we drove to california, as usual. and as usual, my kids were little angels. seriously. they are always such good travelers. polly didnt complain one tiny bit either way and teddy only ever starts freaking out the last couple hours or so on the way there. we always get caught in traffic coming through san bernadino and riverside. he doesnt care too much for traffic. but once we are through it, he happies right up again. 

of course movies and fun activites always help.

i brought a bunch of these soft little balls "pom-poms" if you will and pipe cleaners cause those are always a good time.

the fun stuff

i saw on pintrest to put magnets on the back of puzzle pieces so they stick to cookie sheets and the littles can do puzzles in the car. i made a couple for polly. for ted i just glued some onto a couple random toys and grabbed a few letter magnets of the fridge.

it made him happy.

so duh, you have to wear the chicken hat while playing with the dancing chicken.
