today is not my birthday and we eat our waffles with cheddar cheese

i absolutely despise when people use FB to tell a "friend" happy birthday. really, you know you dont care and you are only doing it cause your little reminder on the side of your news feed told you to. and possibly so you dont look like the only jerk that didnt say anything. due to my strong feelings on the subject, i never say it to anyone. on FB. ever. if we are true friends, i have your # or know where you live. so i will either call or show up, so rude and unexpectedly to share a surprise. a couple years back, i had this genius idea. i would have a fake FB birthday. those who knew my real birthday oct 10th would either call me out or wish me a great day, on the right day. well, it happened and was funny and then i forgot about it. just as i do each year. then feb 3rd rolls around and i get all these nice little wishes, and its fun all over again. childish? perhaps. but it makes me laugh all day. so who cares. i do have to say though. i honestly feel bad for a select few. truly and deeply in my heart, i feel bad for tricking them. just a few friends, that i really do enjoy and know are just being nice. that i know are being genuine in wishing me a delightful day.

now that i have that out of the way, we made cheese waffles for breakfast!!!
yep thats right.... waffles, topped with a bit of cheese then ironed and topped with syrup

like this

it always overflows on me. EVERY time.

you cant say that these dont look so much better than plain ol' waffles...
dont knock it till you try it

i had to take polly to the dr today. her piercing on the right ear had obviously gotten infected.
it looks sad. but she is tough.
i was instructed to take the earring out for a few days till it heals. in hopes of being able to keep the hole open, i asked the dr for some thick stitching thread stuff whatever you wanna call it. pushed it though and made a knot. it will stay for a bit.

also, she said something today that made me very proud. if you dont know me very well, ill put this out there so you can understand. farts and poop and other such things are funny. i dont care who you are or how old you are... if you cant try your darndest to each and every day, find a new way to reist one in your spouses general direction and laugh about it or joke about #2, thats just sad. SO, back to the story. polly "baptised the lamanites" this afternoon and apparently had what is referred to at least in our house hold as a ghost poo. she came out after finishing and said to her father, while i was sitting close by, "dad i had a ghost poop! that means it disappeared in the toilet. it wasnt there..."
hmmmm. i must admit though, i have been having to teach her that these kinds of shenanigans must be restricted to family and/ or home time. LAME! i know. but i cant have her freaking out her teacher at preschool...

  1. Sis, you must feel sorry for the 'OLD'Folks who need constant reminders of whose birthday is when. Not me of course. I'm not old. I'm a ghost poop.
