donuts, little red, leprechaun and inside games

last week at pre-school, polly learned about bakeries. she got to make a bakery treat out of clay, her teacher baked it then she got to paint it. she was SOOO excited about it and SOOO proud, she talked about it all week. she didnt understand that it was in-edible. when she discovered the truth, she was completely heart broken. when she turned to me and i saw that look of sheer devastation, i also was completely heart broken. when my children are sad, i just can not handle it. so DUH, the next morning, for breakfast, we made.... DONUTS!!!!
healthy ones of course besides the sugar. and really, truly... they were the DIVINE! so good. better than store bought. no exaggeration.
organic, whole wheat, soaked.

organic chocolate frosting.
i realize this looks burnt. its not.

thats the face i love.
smiley, happy, proud.

brother enjoyed

i buy myself flowers.

and use cute old di jars as vases

spring is happening in my yard.

many weeks ago, amber had a great idea.
take the kids to the forest to "play" little red riding hood while we snuk in a photo shoot
since amber is the mega pro, i let her have all the fun...

then they played of course

and had a ton of fun cause of all that love they gots.

st. patricks day!!!!
somewhere, polly picked up that leprechauns are mean and they pinch.
i guess i could have just said "no thats not true and leprechauns arent real, just pretend."
why would i do that? zero fun.
so i said, "they just like to be tricky stinkers. if they do pinch its not hard, only soft and as long as you wear green, that means you dont want to be pinched so they wont cause they love you."
one came to our home!!!!!
i hung up this huge note from lucky.

then klint pointed out, "leprechauns are small, how did they get it up that high?"
so i built a ladder.

he left them treats

and made a huge mess of everything

got this idea from pintrest

green breakfast. with out food coloring.
spinach with a tid bit of milk in the food processer.

added to "scrumpled eggs"...

makes green eggs.

and green grapes

got this idea from pintrest as well.
tomatoes, avocados, sprouts, cucumbers, lime, salt and pepper.

plain yogurt, chives, salt and pepper to shmear.

with a tid bit of pepper jack cheese, rolled up in a tortilla.
"vegetable burrito!!!!" -polly

for girls club today we played ponies
i wish i could remember their names. they were awesome.

taped string to the wall.
taped un-tied balloons to straws.
put the string through the straw.
let go of the balloon, watch it fly!

pollys won

ted didnt like it much.
even though they werent loud, he kept thinking they were popping.
he would watch it go, say "uh-oh!" then cry.
poor little.

so we stopped after a few times and decided to set up a "spy laser" maze pintrest.
i added the ballons and called them bombs.
she exploded one with her head.

while at home, she runs around in her undies. she learned it from me.
anytime that i dont have to be, i am not wearing pants.
pants are the devil.
so uncomfortable.
they suck.

helping daddy spy out once he finally made it across.

my beauty queen.

teddy had to stay in his high chair as not to destroy it.
he got to have a snack so he was happy.

not so sure about giving the lasers a try.

daddy encouraged him and he made it safely through.
with out a "cut from a laser or an exploding bomb."

side note: i brag about my kids awesome eating habits all the time. they really do love eating healthy. ask for vegetables, eat them all, dont eat many sweets. but anytime we are out with friends or around other kids, she loves the crap. of course i let her have it cause she is a kid. i cant completely deprive her. i dont get it. lucky the leprechaun left them both a ton of candy. they grabbed the bags, said something about it, set them down and never mentioned it again. they are still sitting in the same spot. un-opened...?
