the fourf of july

is for....

family adventures,

grandparent-mobiles,

cousins,

four wheeling with your husband,

eating dust,

finding a smallish meadow with a tiny stream falling,

filling up with the deliciously fresh spring agua,

playing in said agua,

loving nature,

making use of old forgotten rusty zip lines,

getting filthy,

talking to uncles,

sharing closeness,

tons of butterflies fluttering about,

finding an old dead truck that has trees growing through its hood and not being able to take enough photes of it,

riding in the front,

leaning on each other,

motorcycle riding,

forcing your family to wear red, white and blue,

brothers to be brothers,

jumping,

being thrown in the air,

dancing,

playing,

taking pups on walks to the park,

mud covered hands,

beautiful sunsets,

ear pulling,

reading stories in the dark,

waking up the next day with hair like this.... 

....you know, all of the good things in life.

and THAT my friends, is why i am so in love with this holiday.
