GREAT! once there was a chapstick. that was emphasis on was the very best, one could find. that you could basically never get anywhere, except on the vitamin shelf in a select few random walmarts. we were lucky to ever come across it. and if we did, we stocked up. like, ten stick at once. also, this allowed to have one in every important area of your life. kitchen, night stand, bathroom, purse, car, etc. anyway, this stuff was so amazing, and lacked in having a name of its own seriously, there is no name on the tube, so kelly and i, referred to it as great. then one day i thought, "hey, i bet i could make a chapstick of my own." so i ventured, and started making such things. now i make a whole slew of fun stuff and let me tell you, it blows everything else i have ever tried out of the water! having used my chapstick which is now the new "great" cause its way greater than the original great and gone back to the original, due to a running out-ness of my homemade, i HATE the original great! and all those other ones you buy at the store. they are all waxy like and just sit in a fat layer on the top of your lips. such a nuisance! mine absorbs and makes them silky and smooth and delightful.
the lotion: having been in utah for the last 4 years, my skin hates me! it is SO dry and anytime i would put anything store bought on, it would quickly absorb and i'd be right back to feeling itchy and flaky. eew. i know. which is why i decided to try to make a lotion. SUCCESS ONCE AGAIN! well, not at first... it took a few tries to perfect. not only does it keep my out-ards nice and freshly moist, it isnt filled with all the nasty toxins and chemicals and all of that, that all the store bought stuf is. even the "natural" stuff from the health food store is crud filled. well, either that or its MEGA spendy. so, basically, pick your poison. i decide on neither! most might be thinking "who cares whats in lotion? it just goes on your skin..." ya, thats what i hear from a lot of people when i start talking about this. think about it. your skin is your largest organ. right? and what happens to every thing you put on it? is absorbs. right? and it goes straight to your blood stream. so, no thanks, id rather not have all of those glycols, petroleums, parabens, sulfates, glycerin which actually draws moisture from the skin, to give a softer feel, aluminum, titanium dioxide... oh boy, the list can just go on and on, all up in my bod. yuck. so, i make my own. with good, real, whole ingredients that are actually GOOD for you and your skin. that do wonderful moisturizing, age defying stuff in a real way. OH and my kids have both had bouts with eczema in the winter months. my eczema cream is the only thing that has helped both of them.
so, like i mentioned in a previous post, and my whole point of this one is, that its finally starting to come along. this eve i ordered a whole lotta stuff for makin, containers and created a very cute, but very simple cause thats what my products are, simple label. im so excited for everything to arrive!!! im starting out with 2 diff flavors of hand and body lotion, a face lotion, baby lotion, eczema cream and chapstick. and its going to be GREAT! thats why its called GREAT!
