feeding ducks a new car and delmar.

a few days back we decided to hop in the car and spend the afternoon at the ocean.
most days lately i dont get ready.
sandy babes.
i come from a family of avid volvo lovers. i am one. while conversing with some friends a couple weeks back, i informed them that my dream car since high school, has been one of the 1980's old boxy style volvos. they were nice, smiled and entertained my comment. im sure they were thinking "what the hell?!" most people do.  i just think these bad boys are the bees knees! so later that eve i thought, "why havent i purchased this car yet? im just going to look on craigslist to see whats out there" it. was. FATE. i tell ya! i found her. i had a feeling about this one... and as soon as i sat my tooshy down in that mustard yellow seat to take her for a spin, i knew she was meant to be mine. and now she is!!!!!! she is an '85, hardly any miles and wanna know the best part? she was owned by a monk at a monestary down round here forev so she is in brand spankin new condish. her name is "miss carolina flowers"many a thanks to polly.
the real reason iv never purchased one previously is cause my parents and husband refused to let me roll around in what they thought would inevitably be an "un-reliable" vehicle, esp w my babes. to that i say, "ITS MY CHOICE!!!!!" plus this one is a gem. completely safe and reliable. like a tank.

she says "our new car is ROCKIN!!!!"
it rained.
another day we fed ducks whole pieces of bread and picked our noses.

broos thought he was hott stuff chasing the fearful fowl.
we had a mommy/ buddy date day. i wore my spidey shirt in honor of the occasion.
we had a ma/ me date day.
dinner party at dougs. pols and al shared a chair.... and plates. polly did her lion growl for grama.
as for yesterday,  im pretty sure i didnt even brush my hair. but hey i took care of the important things... like housework. haha! kidding. i got over that real fast and decided that play time at the park and going out to dinner was a FAR better idea. i was right.
polly had a hungry bum and cool hair.
the idea started out as "lets take a walk..." and ended up as lets run around like maniacs and yell "COCK-A-DOOOODLE-DOOOO!!!!" at the top of our lungs
tedster wanted to give his sis a hug. being the 2 year old boy that he is, he ran and tackled her with loves instead. she quickly forgave.
alison needed a new dresser. douglas and i scored this bad boy from the salvation army on half priced furniture day. it was an ugly light oakey color. took it home and i taught her how to make one mans trash into her treasure. aint it a beaut?
