polly has a bestie. she loves her. we love her. she is a real gem. her name is holly. she had a little get together at a park
another new one that we will now be frequenting and it was so fun! always nice to make new friends and we are looking forward to more good times with the diamond family in the future! here are some photes of that day. i didnt get a whole lot
gasp! i know! but i was busy chatting and playing.
birthday cake makin.
for her dad... was it his real birthday? the world may never know...
unless they ask someone that knows.
she even found a nice gift for him. a beautiful princess headband left under a tree by a stranger.
and was determined to get it on his head despite any sort of discouragement john threw her way.
sometimes, you gotta just do what ur kid wants you to do... nevermind that you may get lice. im all for this. i would have let polly slap it on me but am secretly grateful this wasnt my head.
she was obviously satisfied with her success.
the boy sat out in the field, all by himself. until the gals noticed and bombarded.
we have a poor track record when in comes to owning pets of the canine sorts. we have had 3 in our short 5 years of being a family and although it saddened our hearts each time, we had to free them for their own good.
eto = he was a nut job and i could NOT handle his craziness.
gray = purchased as a gift by my husband, only weeks before i was to birth a small human. although he had good intentions, BAD idea.
meg = everyone was "allergicT" to her.
now.... we welcome BRUCE! who we have already promised to polly, that we will keep forever! no one is "allergicT" for he is a yorkie-poo. he is tiny, never in the way, perfect for the kids to throw around and to snuggle and is just as lazy as i am. he is a real keeper.
i have to say just a word or two about pollys teacher. miss sam. she is the bomb.com. honestly, i dont think i could have found a better teacher for my sweet girl. she has one of the biggest hearts and there is a special place in it for each of her littles. she genuinely loves them and the feelings are mutual. lucky for us, the polster gets one more year of preschool w her before having to move on to the big leagues...
kindergarten. i dont want to talk about that anymore though. my heart aches at the thought. anyway, what i was getting at.... the other night, miss sam had an open house at the preschool to which every student was invited to come hang out for a bit, have a cookie and receive a gift made especially for them. she crafted a scrap book for each kid, following them through their entire year. all about what they did and how much fun they had. basically, a yearbook, but specific to the little and with a story written about them. being the big ol' cry baby that i am, i shed a tear or two while sitting and enjoying w my small family. then, klint and i looked through her "coloring book"
if you will, which was a pad of construction paper filled with her pictures and descriptions that she had created through the year. we lol'd. no really, we actually laughed out loud
i dont use that "lol" crap loosely. also in the bag was a spankin new container of sticky balls. naturally, this was the part she couldnt wait for. so, not but seconds after stating that we wr done reading these special works, she was off to the kitchen table to create. special thanks to miss sam. she is a true rock star and im fairly certain, that given a cape and a nice tiara, she could save the world.
All these pictures are great!! I can't wait to meet Mr. Bruce this weekend!! I love that little guys face so much already!!
